LUMC OPTIMIST CLUB
What: The basic focus of Optimist International is working with the youth in our communities. The LUMC Optimist Club is a part of the Colorado/Wyoming District. Our Club participates in various projects some of which are listed below:
v Mentoring and tutoring in the elementary schools in the Littleton area.
v Brain Bowl Contest for Groups of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from various schools within our District.
v Littleton high schools participate in an annual Essay Contest and an Oratorical Contest.
v Sporting events are held at the elementary schools such as an annual Bike Rodeo, Tri-Star Basketball Competition and Tri-Star Football Competition. An annual Fishing Derby is held at Waterton.
v Senior Services are provided at Cherrelyn Manor to help bring some additional activities to their regular programs.
