SUSPECTED STOLEN ITEMS FOUND
Officers were called to the 3800 block of South Julian Street on Jan. 26 on a report of a theft. A woman told the officers she had just moved back in with her boyfriend, and when she went to her friend's house where she had been staying to retrieve some of her belongings, they were missing. After some investigation, the officer and the woman determined the woman's boss had stored the items in question and no crime had been committed.

BOATS VANDALIZED AND ROBBED
On Jan. 23 officers were called to 4200 block of South Federal Boulevard on a report of trespassing. A man told officers several boats stored at the address had been vandalized. When the officers inspected the boats, they found that several boat covers had been slashed and the stereos had been stolen from all of the boats. Overall, 14 boats were damaged or had things stolen from them. Sheridan detectives are investigating the incident.

STUDENT ROBBED
A woman called Sheridan police from her home on the 3200 block of West Oxford Avenue after her son was robbed on the way home from school Jan. 27. The student told police he was walking home when two men wearing ski masks and riding a blue motocross bike approached him and demanded money. The student told the suspects to leave him alone, and the pair pushed him to the ground and stole his wallet. Sheridan police had no suspects at the time of the report.

CAR WINDOW BROKEN
A Sheridan police officer on routine patrol noticed a silver Honda with its driver's side window broken on the 3500 block South King Street on Jan. 27. The officer contacted the owner of the car who verified nothing was missing from the vehicle.

STORE ROBBED AT GUNPOINT
Officers were called to the 3300 block of West Dill Road on Jan. 27 on a report of a burglary. A man told the officer he and his family had left the house around 11:30 a.m. and when they returned later in the evening, they heard people leaving through the back door. The man determined some cash and personal belongings were missing from his home. The case has been referred to detectives.

FIRE REPORTED
Sheridan police were called to the 3600 block of South River Point Parkway on Jan. 19 on a report of a fire. The reporting party told officers that a security guard at the address told him there was a fire in the building and then left the area. The Sheridan Fire Department arrived, but were unable to locate any signs of a fire.

RTD BOMB THREAT REPORTED
Officers responded to the 4000 block of South Santa Fe Drive on a report of a bomb threat Jan. 16. When officers arrived, a man told them he works for RTD and was walking on the light-rail platform when he noticed some graffiti that warned there would be a bomb on the train. The man contacted Homeland Security and the officer took pictures of the graffiti and forwarded it to the detective division and the Metro Area Graffiti Task Force.

MAIL STOLEN
Officers were called to the 2300 block of West Hampden Avenue on Jan. 14 on a report of criminal mischief. When the officer arrived, the property manager told him that someone had broken into some of the community mailboxes at the address. The manager told the officer he had no idea how much mail was stolen out of the boxes. Sheridan detectives and investigators from the United States Postal Inspectors Office are investigating the crime.
