EX-BOYFRIEND THROWS ROCKS AT WINDOW
Sheridan Police were sent to the 4300 block of South Lowell Boulevard on a report of a disturbance April 28. A woman at the apartment told officers her ex-boyfriend had come to her apartment and began pounding on her door. When she refused to open the door, her ex-boyfriend and his brother began throwing rocks at her apartment window. One of the rocks broke the window and hit the woman in the back of the head. The woman's children were also in the apartment, but were not injured. The suspects left the area before police arrived. Arrest warrants were issued for both suspects.
TRESPASSING
Sheridan police responded to a report of a break-in at an apartment on the 4300 block of South Lowell Boulevard on May 4. A witness told the officers the man in the apartment is the ex-boyfriend of the woman who lives there . Officers called the woman, who was not home, and she told them the man was still upset over the couple's break up and has a history of violence. Sheridan Police called the man inside the apartment and convinced him to come outside. Sheridan Police arrested the man.
BRASS VALVE STOLEN
Sheridan Police were called to a grassy area near the intersection of West Oxford Avenue and South Santa Fe Drive on May 5 on a report of a theft. The reporting party told the officers someone had stolen a brass back flow valve and its surrounding cage from a sprinkler system installed in the area. The valve and cage are valued at $1,250. Police had no suspects a the time of the report.
COPPER PIPES STOLEN
On May 3 Sheridan Police were sent to the 3400 block of South Platte River Drive on a report of theft. The foreman of a job site at the address told police someone had entered the site and stolen several copper pipes from nine of the 11 buildings on the site.
