Police blotter: Crash in front of cop leads to DUI

PAIR BUSTED IN ATTEMPTED THEFT Police arrested a man on suspicion of criminal tresspass Jan 4 after he was allegedly observed using a flashlight while rifling the glove box of a car parked in a lot on the 4300 block of South Lowell Boulevard about 10:58 p.m. Another man who was standing at a corner of the same parking lot had accompanied the first man, and was later arrested on an outstanding warrant and was in possession of a stolen credit card, according to the report.

TWO ARRESTED AFTER ACCIDENT On Dec. 25, about 7:11 a.m., officers responded to the scene of an auto accident at U.S. 285 and South Knox Court. Three men were seen running from the scene, which was in the City of Denver. Two of the occupants of the first vehicle were allegedly discovered in another vehicle stopped in a later routine traffic stop. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and the passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants.

CRASH IN FRONT OF COP LEADS TO ARREST On Jan. 1, about 1:28 a.m. an officer on patrol on West Hampden Avenue and South Clay Street saw a vehicle eastbound on West Hampden Avenue at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped his patrol car and the suspect vehicle skidded through the intersection, became airborne and crashed into a businessplace on West Hampden Avenue. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other traffic offenses.

SUSPECTED SHOPLIFTERS ARRESTED Officers arrested two suspects on suspicion of theft from a business on River Point Parkway about 1:53 p.m. Dec. 26. The suspects were seen stealing multiple items and detained by security personnel, according to the report.
