WOMAN ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC INDECENCY
An officer on patrol at West Oxford Avenue and South Hazel Court on Jan. 17 spotted five people standing close together on the sidewalk. As he approached the group dispersed and the office saw an apparently intoxicated woman crouched and urinating on the sidewalk, her pants pulled down to her knees. The woman told the officer she could not wait to reach a bathroom. She was issued a summons for public indecency and taken to the Arapahoe Detention Facility on a detox hold.
WELDERS STOLEN FROM GARAGE
Police investigated burglary reported on Jan. 17 at a residence on the 2000 block of West Hamilton Place. A resident reported someone entered his locked garage and stole two welders, valued at a total of $1,739. The investigation is continuing.
LADDER THEFT - THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT
Police investigated the theft of two ladders from a business on the 3800 block of River Point Parkway reported Jan. 18. The 24-foot extension ladder and eight-foot stplader were valued at a total of $450. The theft remains under investigation.
BURGLARY, GRAFFITI INVESTIGATED
A burglary and extensive graffiti was reported at a business on the 3300 block of South Federal Boulevard Jan. 12. Several trucks in a storage yard were painted with various colors of spray paint, as well as the interior and exterior of an abandoned building east of the storage yard. The total damage was estimated at $11,900.
GRAFFITI DAMAGE OVER $1,000
Officers on patrol found graffiti sprayed on the wall of a business on the 3400 block of south Federal Boulevard on Jan. 19. Officers later discovered several nearby telephone boxes, retaining walls, wooden fences and street signs along the 3400 block of South Elliot Street had been tagged in different colors. The total damage was estimated at $1,055.
