Incidents reported by Sheridan Police
EXTENSIVE VEHICLE VANDALISM PROBED
Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of West Hampden Avenue on May 15 on report of vandalism to a vehicle. The owner report he left his 2000 Chevrolet truck in a business parking lot overnight, and found all four tires slashed and dents in the driver's side door and rear fender. Damage was estimated at $1,620. The owner told police he suspect a person he played a practical joke on may have done the damage.
MAN CUT WITH BEER BOTTLE IN FIGHT
Police investigated an assault reported on May 16 on the 3600 block of South Julian Street. They found one man suffering from wounds on his face and neck, apparently from a broken beer bottle. The man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. Another man was taken into custody after witnesses said he was involved in a fight with the injured man.
ELECTRONIC GAMES STOLEN
On May 17, officers investigated a theft report on the 3400 block of West Quincy Avenue. A woman reported her son had friends in his room earlier in the day and later discovered several electronic games had been stolen. Juvenile living in the same apartment complex allegedly told the the woman another juvenile had been trying to sell the mission games. The stolen games were valued at $1,000. The investigated is continuing.
STUDENT'S BENCH STOLEN FROM CLASSROOM
A Sheridan High School student filed a theft report with police on May 19. The student told police he made a wooden bench as a school project during the school year and found it has been stolen from the classroom. The bench was valued at $30.
