This blog will provide the most up-to-date happenings of laws, policy and events taking place at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. I am proud to serve as your State Representative for House District 31, representing parts of Thornton, Brighton and Northglenn.

Rep. Solano to host panel on Foreclosure

According to the Denver Business Journal the Denver-Metro area ranked 9th in foreclosure rates in 2007. Foreclosure is a pressing issue many folks in Adams county have been facing over the last year.

My next upcoming Town Hall Meeting will be focused on understanding options and strategies for foreclosure prevention.

When: Saturday, February 23rd, 10am-Noon

Where: Adams 12 Five-Star School Administration Building
1500 E. 128th Ave., Thornton 80241

What: Community members are encouraged to join me for a panel discussion on foreclosure counseling and prevention, the foreclosure process and how local officials and real estate professionals can help.

I hope your not talking about real estate agents or realators,when you refer to, real estate professionals. If they are not one in the same,I have no comment.If they are what I mentioned above,they started this whole mess.When someone wants to buy a home it is 1st and foremost the real estate agent or realtors job to see what their income is,what their debt is etc..If they don't do this they are wasting their time showing buyers who can afford a $150,000 home a $500,000 home.They are the one's who have hooked up these unqualified,credit risky buyers to rip-off lenders selling sub-prime loans.It is a house of cards.Let the chips fall where they may Let the rules for lending get stricter once again and stop handing out loans like candy to people who can't afford them.
