My interests and hobbies: Golf, reading, sailing and traveling with Joanie.
What is my favorite thing to cook: Anything barbequed – even tofu!!
People who inspired me (and how): Irv Brown (baseball coach), Paul Tsongas (Senator), Noel Busck, Marty Flaum, Mark Walker, John Vigil, Don Quick, Doug Darr, Paul Ciska, Terry and Chris Melonakis, John Popovich – and many other friends too numerous to mention – all of these folks have both inspired, befriended, and encouraged me to grow. Also, my dear professor and mentor Dr. Yandall Woodfin, Billy Graham, Martin L. King and Mickey Mantle (heroes). Lastly, my wife for her energy, enthusiasm, and endless patience with me – she is my organizer and daily inspiration.

What are the biggest issues facing your city now: Growth, and how to cultivate, direct, and manage it wisely. Also, the continued support of public education, one of the single most powerful forces in human history.
