8 Scouts Move On To Boy Scouting
Contributed by: Janice Snidow on 3/13/2008

Cub Scout Pack 417's Annual Blue and Gold Banquet and Silent Auction was held on February 23, 2008 at Horizon High School .

The banquet is the highlight of the year and traditionally a chance for scouts, family and friends to celebrate scouting.

It is also an opportunity to recognize pack leaders and volunteers who have been instrumental in the packs success. Another important part of the packs success is fundraising and there was something for everyone at the 4th Annual Silent Auction. Thanks to all individuals and area businesses for their generous donations. Without them the auction would not be possible.

Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the pack, providing money for the dens and allowing the scouts to plan spring and summertime activities. Following a catered dinner and live entertainment came the moment everyone was waiting for. It was time to honor 8 scouts who crossed over to boy scouting.

Taylor Clements, Zach Gallegos, Josh Konopka, Ryan Caviness, David Marsh, Ryan Quintana, Andy Starling and John Wallace are to be congratulated for all their hard work. These scouts not only received their Arrow of Light awards, they also received their Twentier awards for completing all 20 activity badges . We wish them luck with their new Troops and adventures in Boy Scouting! Great job boys!
