The City of Thornton is excited to host its first Teen Battle of the Bands. It will be held in conjunction with the 2008 Thorntonfest on Saturday, May 17 at the Multi-purpose Fields at 108th and Colorado Boulevard.

We are looking for talent from the metro area to perform. Applications are due by April 18th. We will select 9 bands to perform. You can download the application and rules at www.cityofthornton.net/rec/thorntonfest.asp You will need to submit a demo and lyrics of your music along with the application.

We are excited to showcase the talent we have right here in our community. If you do not belong to a band, we hope you will come out to enjoy the music.

The whole family will find entertainment at Thorntonfest. We will have carnival rides, a car show, pawfest, crafters, food vendors, and much more.
