Thornton QB now District Athletic Director
Contributed by: Adams 12 Alumni Association on 6/7/2007

I graduated from Thornton High School in the class of 1987.My present position with Adams 12 is as Athletic Director. A job I truly enjoy.

One of my fondest memories of growing up in Adams 12 was as the Thornton High School football quarterback playing games in Five Star Stadium to overflowing crowds.I had a great coach by the name of Al Knechtal. The rivalry between the only two high schools in the district at the time Thornton and Northglenn provided many great Saturday afternoon football games. All of our games were played at Five Star Stadium and as the District Athletic Director I am looking forward to the Community Event on August 18th to dedicate the second stadium in Adams 12.

At Merritt Hutton Junior HIgh I had a great teacher by the name of John Edwards. He not only took an interest in each of his students in the classroom but also attended many of the extra curricular activities of his students. He was truly interested in each of us and we knew it. He was a great science teacher and an outstanding role model for junior high kids.
