Tornados to Terrorism: Are you Ready?
Contributed by: Amanda Vargas on 10/12/2006

September was nationally recognized as Preparedness Month and across the Metro area, Ready Colorado along with local government agencies made attempts to reach citizens to get the word out about preparedness. Did you see them anywhere while you were out and about? If not, but you are interested in finding out just what information they have to impart, check out http://www.readycolorado.org/.

The other opportunity that is available to you (for FREE) is to take part in upcoming CERT Lite training. This training is being offered by Adams County and Federal Heights and will cover the gambit of preparedness subjects: Colorado natural disasters, home security, personal safety, fire prevention & safety, hazardous materials, evacuation, shelter-in-place and terrorism.

To meet the demands of today's busy schedules, this training is being offered in a one day, eight-hour session on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Federal Heights Community Room (2380 W. 90th Avenue). In order to be prepared ourselves, we do ask that you call (720-322-1401) and register for the class.

We hope to have you join us for this great informational session. However, if you find your schedule already booked for this date, and are unable to find answers to your questions on the Ready Colorado website, please feel free to contact us at the number above and we will do our best to answer your questions.

Have a great day and stay ready!
