Colorado Council of the Arts hosts exhibition

Denver, Colo. - Brookfield Properties announces the 10th Annual presentation of Corporate Collections 2006, an unparalleled exhibition showcasing exceptional fine art on loan from the collections of more than 20 companies, from small businesses to major corporations. Participating companies include Kaiser Permanente, Benson Minerals Group and The Children’s Hospital. This is a unique opportunity once a year for businesses to share with the general public the diversity of fine art they present in their office environments throughout the year. Businesses outside the Front Range will also be featured this year.

The Opening Reception, hosted by the Colorado Council on the Arts and Arts for Colorado and sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, will be held Feb. 8 2006 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A special program will begin at 6 p.m., featuring remarks by Governor Bill Owens. Also speaking will be leadership of the Legislative Arts Caucus: Senator Abel Tapia (3), Representative Alice Borodkin (9) and Representative Al White (57).

“Corporate Collections 2006” is sponsored by Brookfield Properties, owner and manager of Republic Plaza, located at 370 Seventeenth Street, Downtown Denver, Colorado. The exhibit, curated by Andra Archer and produced by the Archer Concept Group, is open to the public free of charge, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. For further information, please call: 303-733-1868.

The mission of the Colorado Council on the Arts, a state agency, is to promote the cultural, educational and economic growth of Colorado through development of its arts and cultural heritage.

Arts for Colorado is a grassroots nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the climate for culture throughout the state by providing a strong pro-arts voice in Colorado’s legislature and a voice that speaks in communities about the values of the arts to quality of life and economic development.
