Contributed by: Deborah Wiig on 10/16/2006

Pop/rockers TenFeetTall, the 17th Avenue Allstars a cappella group and oldies veterans Runaway Express will take the stage at the historic Oriental Theater on Sunday, October 22 to raise funds for the prevention of youth suicide.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death of Colorado youth. This concert benefits The Second Wind Fund, which provides no-cost therapy for local youth in crisis who could not otherwise access professional help.

TenFeetTall, a 4 piece all original powerpop/rock band, writes and produces upbeat melodic songs with thick vocal harmonies. The award-winning 17 th Avenue Allstars have been dazzling audiences for a decade with their soulful renditions of popular musical styles spanning five decades of hits. From Buddy Holly to Woodstock to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Runaway Express boasts a 2,000 song repertoire. This concert covers a vast musical range.

The concert starts at 4:00 p.m. at the Oriental Theater at 4335 W 44th Ave. Tickets are $18 at http://virtuous.com or $22 at the door. For more information, visit http://www.thesecondwindfund.org or call 303-988-2645.
