Virtuoso violinist holds concert at library
Contributed by: Ann Myers on 8/29/2007

World-renown violinist Eugene Fodor recently shared his amazing music at the Thornton branch with an intimate concert for his fellow library users.
August 28th is officially Eugene Fodor Day, as proclaimed by Governor John Love more than 25 years ago. That's the day Fodor performed for a crowd of about 55 at the library.

Fodor's career has spanned three decades with performances all over the world, including playing for two presidents and sitting next to Johnny Carson 16 times as a special guest. He has played with top notch orchestras all over the country and is acknowledged as one of the most accomplished violinists of our time.

Fodor is a Rangeview Library District library card holder. Through his visits to the Thornton branch Fodor has become friendly with the Thornton library staff. The staff was thrilled when he said yes to their request for a concert on his special day.
