45 Degrees Custom Framing & Gallery is very excited to bring 4 local photographers to our gallery for the month of October. Rich Gomez started as an amateur in the early 1960's while stationed in West Germany with the US Army. He took a class learning how to develop black and white photos. Rich's interest developed into a full fledged hobby in the early 1980's. In July 2005, he traveled to Italy, the Greek Islands, and the French Riviera, where he started seeing our world in a different way. His love affair with simple photography blossomed, and Rich's photography makes this a true art form. He finds beauty in life and nature, and gets lost in what he sees when he is behind his camera. Tom Kingsolver is a second generation Colorado native, born in Colorado Springs. He graduated from Colorado State University in Pueblo, and has worked for the State of Colorado for the past 13 years. He is a self-taught photographer, starting with 35mm film in the early 70's when his daughter was born. He took up the hobby again 4 years ago with the birth of his first grandson, using a digital camera exclusively. Tom's photography is inspired by his natural curiosity and the endless variety of people, places, and things to photograph. Although he loves black and white, he says photography is all about color. James Pyott is an artist with talents in most mediums, photography being just one. 45 Degrees has had the pleasure of showing all of his many talents. He sold several black and whites photographs in our last photography show. Roy Reed promises to bring many different aspects of photography into our gallery. His pieces are very exciting, much of them taken in and around Denver. His photographs show off the beauty in our state that most of us take for granted. Roy makes us remember why we live here. Please join 45 Degrees Custom Framing & Gallery to welcome these wonderful artists on Second Friday, October 13, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm., 7570 Grant Pl., Historic Olde Town Arvada. We can be reached at 720-974-1771. The artists will be present, feel free to chat them up!!!
