Platte Valley Players Holding Auditions - TRY OUT!
Contributed by: Mark Baros on 2/24/2007

Platte Valley Players and the Performing Arts Council of Brighton, fresh off their highly acclaimed performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", announce their next local theater production.

"Death by Chocolate" is a comedy mystery by Paul Freed. The show will be performed and produced by Platte Valley Players and directed by Angela Astle. Show dates are May 25, 26, 27 and June 1, 2, 3, 2007 at the new Prairie View High School in Henderson.

Casting is needed for six men and six women between the ages of 18-55 years. All of the roles will be cast from this audition. In addition, a Stage Manager and various backstage help positions will also be needed.

"Death by Chocolate" is a murder mystery with suspects that include everyone who is working for the health resort on the eve of their Grand Re-Opening. Could it be Lady Riverdale, owner of the resort, and a woman with dark secrets? Or Ralph Deadwood, gym instructor and all around cad? Anne, the panic stricken nurse? Or could it be "Sweet Pea" Meadowbrook, overweight and grieving daughter of the recently deceased founder of the resort?
Auditions will be conducted March 19th and 20th at the Brighton Recreation Center, located at 555 N 11 Avenue. Audition times are between 6:30- 9:00 p.m. with callbacks on March 21st if necessary. Appointments are preferred and can be made by calling Dolly at 303-289-8636
