Hope Not Hunger in Haiti
Contributed by: John Dix on 4/15/2008

The Haitian Timoun Foundation will sponsor a 24-Hour ecumenical prayer vigil supporting long-term Haitian-based solutions to hunger in Haiti.

The vigil, at the Abiding Hope worship center, Coal Mine and Simms, Littleton, CO 80127, begins Friday, April 18, at 6 p.m. and ends with worship on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Participants may offer just a small portion of their day, coming to pray, learn, see images and share stories of our Haiti friends. Participants may sign up for one or more 1-hour segments - along with friends, families, ministry groups, colleagues and co-workers. They may call the Abiding Hope office, 303.972.1283, to select an hour, or just come.

The vigil is open to the whole community, and all faiths in the entire Denver Metro area, and is in solidarity with other prayer vigils taking place simultaneously across the United States and in Haiti. For more information about the Haitian Timoun Foundation, go to www.hopeinhaiti.org.

Share HOPE. Stop HUNGER. Stand with HAITI.
