Night Shift Love Story ...
Contributed by: Connie Morrison on 1/31/2007

I met my husband almost 17 years ago. We were living in California and he was the night shift dispatcher for an ambulance company and I was a night shift secretary for a trauma center / Emergency room.

I had to call him a lot for transfers out of the ER ... and the first time I heard his voice I was in love. Didn't matter what he looked like, he had the voice.

We talked quite a bit every night ... I'd take him dinner ... bad thing was he was married but separated; I was married and we were having big problems ... maybe not the best way to start a relationship ... but we did.

We've had our problems over the years ... ups and downs, but all these years later our love is still strong and just gets better and better.

We've had a rough time with our exes and child support and custody issues, working TONS of overtime to care for our kids, buy a house and have a life. My husband is also a recovering alcoholic, almost 2 years and I am soooo proud of all he's overcome and the new man he's become. He works graveyards; I work day shift, so our time together is limited and very precious. We like to make the most of the time we do have together.

I would love to have a chance to whisk my loving, hard working man away for a romantic weekend as he took great care of me for 6 weeks following a major surgery over the holidays and he ALWAYS takes great care of me. I'd like to give him a romantic weekend to remember.
