Ron and Ruth celebrate their 50th anniversary

On June 9th Ron and Ruth Neely were given a wonderful 50th Anniversay celebration hosted by their children, Jerry, Deb, Alex, and Curtis Neely of Windsor and Sherry, Tim, Kylie and Mick Barnard, Pam, Brian, Caitlyn and Courtney Smith of Thornton and Greg, Sandy Neely and Stephanie Graybill of Ft. Lupton at the Brighton Elks Club.

Best Man Don Neely and Matron of Honor Janet Hodgson of the wedding party were among the many relatives and friends who came with their best wishes for the past and future.

Married in Boulder June 8 1957carrying on the tradition of Ruth's family which started in 1910 with her grandparents, 1933 her parents, 1940 her aunt and uncle, 1957 Ron and Ruth, 1969 sister Pat and 1990 daughter Pam. Three of the couples had reached their 50th anniversaries of which Ron and Ruth now join them.

After college, they both followed their careers, Ron in education and Ruth in nursing, settling in Brighton in 1963 where they raised their four children, moving to Thornton in 1993.
