Girl Scout Unit Turns Silver and Gold

Girl Scouts in the Northwoods Unit have brought home both silver and gold in large numbers during the 2005-2006 award year. These young ladies have touched their communities with their projects, the effects of which will last for many years to come.

Six Senior Girl Scouts from the Unit have earned the highest achievement Girl Scouting has to offer, the Gold Award.

The 2006 Gold Award Recipients are:

Brianna Burton for her "Community Cultural Mural"

Sarah Carns for her Just Get Out and Do it" project

Ariel Collins for the "North Metro Holiday Instrument Drive"

Analise Hosp for her "Cards of Love" project

Ily Reiling for her "Religious & Philosophical Tolerance and Understanding" project

Briana Suarez for her "Interfaith Hospitality Network; Families in Crisis" project

Sixteen Cadette girls from the Unit earned the second highest achievement, the Silver Award.

The 2006 Silver Award Recipients are:

Caroline Collins, Kamry Doyle, DeAnna Dufford, Sara Eatherton, Madison Floyd, Brittney Frisby, Monique Garcia, Regina Howell, Jessica Kalber, Katlynn Lockling, Beth Merich, Shanae Miller, Tyann Peska, Frankie-Sue Santos, Stevie Sullivan and Laura Zerilli.

61 Gold and 177 Silvers were awarded this year throughout the entire Mile-Hi Council.
