Thornton's Crane graduates from training

Army National Guard Spec. Benjamin D. Crane has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. in December.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction in drill and ceremonies, rifle marksmanship, weapons, map reading, tactics, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions, and special training in human relations.

Crane is the son of Kenneth A. and Carol E. Crane of Thornton.

The specialist graduated in 2001 from Community Christian School in Northglenn and received a bachelor's degree in 2005 from Pensacola Christian College in Florida.
