Thornton's Sanchez writes a book
Contributed by: PublishAmerica on 3/18/2008

PublishAmerica is proud to present A Friend for Petro by Pete Sanchez, Jr. of Thornton, Colorado.

This masterfully written book is the story of Petro, a thirteen-year-old boy who has to deal with a school bully every day after school. His mother and father are both alcoholics, and he feels unloved by them. He rides his sister's hand-me-down bike, and he has never made the summer baseball team and feels he has no friends. To his surprise, he finally makes the summer baseball team at which time he meets Susej. Petro and Susej become close friends. Susej changes Petro's life forever. Petro has some difficulty understanding his new friend. Petro wonders why Susej knows so much about him, and when he questions him, Susej replies that his father tells him everything. Susej tells Petro that his father is everywhere. Petro thinks Susej's father is an over-the-road truck driver. On the final day when Susej leaves, Petro discovers the truth.

PublishAmerica is the home of 25,000 talented authors. PublishAmerica is a traditional publishing company whose primary goal is to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers. Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties, makes its books available in both the United States and Europe through all bookstores, and never charges any fees for its services. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.
