Man gets high while pumping gas
Police were called to the Diamond Shamrock at 12:30 a.m. June 7 at 301 E. 120th Ave. on a call of suspicious behavior, according to reports. A clerk said a 22-year-old man allegedly was in the restroom for more than 30 minutes after leaving his car at the gas pump. Officers spent several minutes knocking on the door when the man answered. Reports said the man looked like he was under the influence of narcotics. Police found a spoon in the trash can that had recently been heated, a syringe and prescription pill box with 3.8 grams of cocaine with the man's name on it behind the sink. The man allegedly had fresh track marks on his arm and was bleeding. The Northglenn man was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Brighton men get great deal on meat
Police responded to a call of theft at 6:39 p.m. July 27 at the King Soopers located at 3801 E. 120th Ave. An employee of the store found two Brighton men, both 31 years old, switching price tags from other products in the store with some packages of meat, reports said. The two men allegedly went through the self-check out line and paid only $8.91 for $44.52 worth of meat. The two men were met outside by police and during a routine search, police said they found a bag of cocaine in the left front pants pocket of one of the men. The man said the cocaine was not his because he was wearing someone else's pants. That same man also had eight warrants out for his arrest. Both were arrested on suspicion of theft and one man was arrested on suspicion of a controlled substance and his warrants.
