Westy OBGYNs Make Move to Brighton's New Hospital

Brighton's Platte Valley Center for Women Merges with Westminster's Alcott Women's Center -- The Pair Take up Residence at New Platte Valley Medical Center

Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) is pleased to welcome a new team of Obstetric and Gynecologic Specialists to its medical team.

On Tuesday, September 4, John C. Herlevich, M.D. and Denise S. Slusher, M.D., partners with Alcott Women's Center in Westminster, will begin working with Anna M. Kelly, M.D. of Platte Valley Center for Women in Brighton. Together, they will merge clinics and serve patients in the Platte Valley Medical Plaza at the new Platte Valley Medical Center campus. Upon merging, the new practice name will become Alcott Women's Center at Platte Valley.

"We are very excited to welcome Dr. Herlevich, Dr. Slusher and the entire Alcott Women's Center team to Platte Valley Medical Center," explains Cheryl Bentley, PVMC's vice president of operations. "In addition to being quality physicians, they share our commitment to provide exceptional care, professional and friendly obstetrical and gynecological services our patients have come to expect from Platte Valley Center for Women."

The entire Alcott Women's Center practice will move from its current location at 8400 Alcott Street in Westminster to the Platte Valley Medical Plaza (Medical Office Building), located at 1606 Prairie Center Parkway, Suite 210, in Brighton. The office phone number will remain the same for PVCW patients: 303-655-3000.

An open house will be scheduled later this fall for patients to meet their new OB/GYN providers. If you would like to meet them sooner, please call (303) 655-3000 to schedule an appointment.

About Alcott Women's Center at Platte Valley
Dr. Herlevich founded Alcott Women's Center and has provided obstetrical and gynecological care to women in Colorado since 1983. Alcott Women's Center at Platte Valley provides healthcare services for women ages 16 through menopause. Their services include well-women and problem-orientated gynecological examinations and their doctors perform a multitude of gynecological surgery, including hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, laparoscopy, vaginal repairs and incontinence procedures. They also specialize in prenatal and high-risk care for obstetrical patients and complete gynecological care, including birth control and hormonal replacement therapy.

Meet Our Staff
John Herlevich, M.D.
is a Colorado native and has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 25 years. He is board-certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a well-known OB/GYN in the Denver metro area. Dr. Herlevich is a graduate of Colorado College and the University of Colorado Medical School and performed his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin. He believes in providing excellent medical care and looks forward to serving his new patient base at Platte Valley Medical Center.

Denise Slusher, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2002. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Colorado Medical School. She performed her residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita. Dr. Slusher is a Colorado native and enjoys skiing, snowshoeing and hiking. She is married with one son, a dog and two cats.

Anna M. Kelly, M.D. has served Platte Valley Center for Women patients since 2006 and is happy to continue meeting the diverse needs of our growing community. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and performed her residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. She is board -certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides personalized Obstetric and Gynecology services.

Victoria Hart, BSN
has been a Registered Nurse since 1973 and a Nurse Practitioner in woman's healthcare since 1986. She can provide most services our medical doctors can provide, except for surgery and delivering babies. She practices closely with our physicians, performing initial obstetrical examinations, annual exams, first trimester ultrasound exams and second trimester examinations, postpartum assessments, contraceptive counseling, infection and STD diagnosis & treatment, menopause and hormonal replacement therapy.
