Kick off the fall season with Thornton's Harvest Fest! It's a fun festival for the whole family. Harvest Fest takes place Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Most of the events take place in Community Park at 2141 E. 95th Ave., but some of the activities take place off-site (see list below).
This year the fun includes:
- Kids Fishing Derby, Grandview Ponds, 7-10 a.m.
- Pancake Breakfast, Senior Center, 7:30-9:30 a.m.
- Skatepark Competition, Community Park, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Paws for a Dip, City Pool in Community Park, 9 a.m. - noon
- Playful City USA "Play Day", Community Park, 1 - 4 p.m.
- Food Drive, Community Park, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Salsa Tasting Contest, Community Park, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Culture Expedition, Community Park, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- The Bazaar, Community Park, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Food Court, Community Park, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Beer Garden, Community Park, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (21 and older. Three drink limit. Photo ID required.)
- Wagon Rides, Parking Lot west of City Pool, noon - 3 p.m.
- Larkridge Main Stage Entertainment, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Cultural Expedition Stage Entertainment, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
