Acupuncture Clinic Now Open to Adults (18+) at the Thornton Senior Center. Free Information Session Friday, October 23.
Acupuncture originated in China more than 3,000 years ago and continues to grow in popularity in the West. Acupuncture treatments can help reduce pain, improve sleep quality, increase mental clarity, relieve stress, tension, anxiety, depression, and much more.
The Thornton Senior Center is now offering a unique acupuncture experience for all adults ages 18 and older at the Community Acupuncture Clinic. This is a great chance for you and your family members to experience the benefits of acupuncture together!
There will be a free information session at the Thornton Senior Center on Friday, October 23 at 10:30am to learn about acupuncture and how it works. If you would like to sign up for the information session, schedule an appointment, or if you have questions, please call 303-255-7850. The Thornton Senior Center is located at 9471 Dorothy Blvd.
Treatments are done in a community style setting-you will be in a large, quiet, comfortable room receiving treatment at the same time as other people. Acupuncturists, Randi Savage and Allie Dodge, ensure a comfortable experience for everyone involved. Appointments are available on Fridays between 9-11:30 a.m.
There are two treatment options: De-Stress and Extra Points.
De-stress acupuncture is $10.
Extra points are based on a sliding scale of $15-$45 based on what you can afford (plus a $10 one time initial assessment fee).
Treatments can be tailored to address your specific needs and health concerns. Individual acupuncture appointments are also available (these treatments last up to an hour and a half).
The first visit (initial assessment) is $65 while each following visit is $45.
The rate for adults ages 18-55 is 1.5 times the senior rate (described above for adults 55 and older).
