October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Thornton Fire Department is now taking orders for the
Cares Enough To Wear Pink Campaign.
It's a national campaign in which firefighters raise money, and bring attention to the fight against breast cancer.
On Saturday, October 24, Thornton firefighters will deliver pink carnations to the first 250 people who sign up for the event. The flowers show support for someone who is battling or has survived cancer. The cost for the flower delivery is $20 and all proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Registration for flower delivery is now open at www.cityofthornton.net.
