PLATTE VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!


Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC), located in Brighton, CO, is calling for volunteers to help fill several positions in the new hospital. As a volunteer you can make a difference in the welfare of hundreds of people every week.

"Volunteers play a critical role in different departments within our hospital, from giving guided tours to socializing with patients and their families to clerical assistance," says Kathy Young, director of volunteer services. "We make every effort to match volunteers, not only with the job that fits their schedule, but with the job that they enjoy doing most."

PVMC is raising the bar for hospital standards and that means recruiting the most dedicated, committed and passionate people. Please consider joining our group and sharing in the success?

Positions:

Information Desk Attendants and unit positions are available in many departments, including:

Surgery

Emergency Department

Front Lobby

Women's and Newborn Center

Marketing

Community Outreach

Volunteer Services

Desk attendant's duties include greeting and directing patients and visitors to their respective appointments and rooms, delivering gifts to patient rooms, answering phones and some data entry and clerical duties as assigned. The information desk is open seven days a week, from 7:30 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. To accommodate volunteer's schedules we are requesting a minimum of 4-6 hr shifts (times subject to dept. needs)

Hospital Tour Guides are also needed to show PVMC to students on field trips, specialty classes, church groups, and other community groups. Hours are on an "as needed" basis.

Qualifications: Must be a reliable and able to work scheduled shift consistently. Hospital experience is a plus though not mandatory. Some clerical experience is also a plus.
