Sheriff headquarters move to affect services

Adams County Sheriff Doug Darr would like to inform the citizens of Adams County, about the pending move and the opening of the new Sheriff’s Office/Coroner’s Office. Beginning Feb. 13, all staff and personnel working in the old building at 1901 E. Bridge Street in Brighton will begin the process of moving to our new location, which is just north of the Adams County Detention Facility.
The new address for the Adams County Sheriff's Office is 332 N. 19th Ave. in Brighton.
Due to the move we will be open but operating on limited bases.
Concealed Handgun Permit:
From Feb. 13 until Feb. 22, citizens will not be able to process any applications nor will any permits be issued during this week. Applications and other forms will still be available on our new web page:
www.adamscountysheriff.org

On Feb. 2, we will resume accepting and processing applicants who are applying for a Conceal Handgun Permit. The regular schedule for processing handgun permits is Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon, and Fridays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. If you have any questions, contact Detective Michael Ostrander at (303) 655-3252
Human Resource Section:
Human Resources will operate on a limited schedule; however, their section will be closed from Thursday, February 16, 2006 until Wednesday, February 22, 2006. If you have any questions, contact Human Resources Manager Carla Kelley at (303) 655-3222.
Civil Section:
The Civil Section will operate as normal until 5 p.m., Feb. 17 at the old building located at 1901 E. Bridge Street. Starting Feb. 21, the Civil Section will be located at the new location. If you have any question, contact Sergeant John Totten at (303) 655-3271.
All other headquarters operations will be operating on limited bases throughout the entire week. The old headquarters building will be closed permanently on Feb. 17. Due to the President’s Day holiday on Feb. 20 the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters will be closed. The new Sheriff’s Office Headquarters will be in operation on, Feb. 21, at 8:00 a.m. at 332 N. 19th Ave. in Brighton.
