Thornton's Eva Henry fights for national healthcare

While, many of us watch from Thornton at what is happening in Washington D.C. about health care and wonder how it will benefit us, Thornton Councilwoman Eva Henry is pushing for changes starting here in Thornton.

In 2007 and 2008 elections, Thornton city council changed in a way that some council members were elected that have goals beyond just Thornton.

Eva Henry is fighting for changes to Health Care through several ways. According to Eva Henry, her current job is as a Health Justice Organizer at the Colorado Progressive Coalition. Eva Henry "works on health disparities and is organizing to build a statewide base of activists united for health care for all". She also speaks to groups like the Humanists of Colorado to "create progressive change in local, state, and national policy."

"So many of our uninsured is from working families, just like I was, and end up falling through the cracks. We're not eligible for Medicaid but we can't afford private insurance. " -Eva Henry
