128th Ave. Overpass Closure at I-25
Contributed by: City of Thornton on 9/22/2005

The City of Thornton was informed by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) that the 128th Avenue overpass at I-25 will be closed beginning Sept. 26 for a period of four weeks.

This closure is to repair the bridge deck of 128th Avenue due to its poor condition. Currently about 16,000 vehicles per day use this overpass structure. CDOT will set up a detour that will take motorists up to 136th Avenue to use that crossing at I-25.

CDOT prefers that traffic not use 120th Avenue due to the current construction.
