Bridge closure extended through December
Contributed by: Erika Barnard on 10/13/2005

The contractor for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) th Avenue bridge deck rehabilitation has extended the date of completion for the project.

Due to unforeseen conditions to the bridge, the total length of the closure has been extended from four to eight weeks. During the eight weeks, this project will require a full closure of eastbound and westbound 128th Avenue lanes between Huron Street and Washington Street. Traffic will be detoured to 136th Avenue.

CDOT does not want motorists to use 120th Avenue due to the 120th Avenue bridge construction. Currently about 16,000 vehicles per day use the 128th Avenue overpass structure.

For weekly updates, please visit www.dot.state.co.us and look under “Travel Info” and “Scheduled Lane Closures.”
