Today Denver and Thornton prepare to be hit by a major spring storm that will bring a tremendous amount of precipitation to the area. There is a lot of moisture in the atmosphere being drawn up from the Gulf of Mexico and while most of it has fallen as rain thus far on the Front Range that is quickly changing to snow. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that will remain in effect until noon on Saturday.
