First annual Pumpkin Race at Stellar Elementary

It was a perfect day for running at Stellar Elementary School, 3901 E. 124th Ave., in Thornton, for the school's first annual Pumpkin Race.

Kindergartners, first-graders and second-graders ran a 1/2 mile while third-, fourth- and fifth-graders ran a full mile. Each student was given a pumpkin after the race, which was held to promote healthy living.
