America's youth are full of paradoxes. Wouldn't you agree? They are passionate, mission minded, outspoken, and altruistic and yet participate in so many destructive behaviors. With so many things pulling them down, that fervent desire to change the world often gets lost, repressed and forgotten. The group of teen leaders of Epidemic Ministries in conjunction with Northern Hills Christian Church is combating this issue head on.
Through their conferences put on specifically to reach their peers, Epidemic Ministries is catching young people on to the idea of serving their communities. The fruits of their big community project aren't going to be visible right away, but the possibilities for change are endless! Comfort Zone is the name and theme of this year's conference, which challenges the places we find our comfort and pushesteens to be a generation of service. The conference will provide encouragement and avenues of service in which teens can get involved in their own specific communities and the greater Denver community.
Comfort Zone happens on Saturday April 14 th at 7 pm at NHCC in Brighton, but the impact to the community doesn't stop there. The Epidemic team will continue to equip teens for service throughout the year, spurring them on to continue the work they've started. Getting involved with the Epidemic's project is easy, and it always needs more help, simply email

Rob Kelly once said, "If I had to storm the gates of hell with just 12 squirt guns, I'm taking teens with me." The youth of Colorado have immense power to affect change; sometimes it is just a matter of making them aware of it. Epidemic Ministries' follow up and yearly conferences are doing just that, mobilizing a redemptive force along the Front Range that can meet the needs of the community in many tangible ways.
