Well first of all my name is
catrina montoya
and I would like to nominate my father
pete montoya
. The reason I would like to nominate him is because he is very caring, loving and understanding. I am going to tell you a story or two about my father. I think that hes the greatest dad in the world. On of my stories is that I had a son
Sammie
that was born on 2-1-06. My dad was very excited, he went to a couple of appts. with me. He was there the day we found out what we were having. The doctor said it was a boy and he was very happy he had a smile from ear to ear. Well my dad was very close to my baby.Sammie knew who his papo was. When you would tell him papo was here he would stop what he was doing and look around with his big brown eyes and look for him. On November a tragic thing had happened to my baby sammie. He had died. He had just turned 9months old the day before. Me and my dad both work at King Soopers in Federal Heights. I was working that morning and two officers had walked up to me and said I need you to come with us now. I was so freaked out so I paged my dad to come up front. He asked why I was crying I said something happened to sammie we need to go. My dad hugged me and said heta it will be okay dont worry. While we were driving in the police car to the hospital my dad just hugged me and held my hand. It was very comferting to me. We got to the hospital and watched as they did cpr on my poor son. We were just hugging eachother crying. The doctor looked up at me and shook his head and I knew my son was gone. My dad just started to cry bad and said he was sorry. My dad had asked me and my husband to move in after that which we did. Dad said we didn't ever have to leave til we were ready no matter how long it took us. My dad helped with the arrangements for my sons funeral along with my mom, nina, and nino. My dad made it so I didn't have to worry bout anything. It's been almost 7months seince my son died and we are still living at my dads. He got a three bedroom with an upstairs and downstairs so it wouldn't be so crowded I LOVE THIS GUY!! The other thing that my dad did for us and my son that I will never forget and keep in his heart forever. My dad had bought a plot for him self next to my baby sister that passed away. Of course we were young and never thought that we would have to burry our baby. We didnt have money for anything at all. My dad with his kind loving heart gave his plot to my son. Which we really appreciated i don't know what we would have done if he didn't do that for us.
I also wanted to tell you more about this amazing guy. He lost my baby sister in july of 1993. She was only 3years old. Him and my mon are seperated for bout 4years now. He tries so hard to do what he can to keep our family close and together no matter how hard the times get. Hes just amazing. I wish that every one had a dad like mine so they could know how it felt to have that warm love from a caring father.
