Rockies Nut
Contributed by: Janet Perry on 7/19/2007

It's the All-star break and I'm climbing the walls!

Without Rockies Baseball, I'm suffering withdrawals.

Finally, it's July 13th and the Rockies are back.

I'll soon be over the baseball fix that I lack.

Francis pitched good and helped his own cause with a double.

Jeff scored 2 RBI's. My head is in a bubble.

With home runs from Yorvit, Troy and Matt.

You know those boys can really handle a bat.

Beating the Brewers, the top NL Central team.

We Rockies finatics are starting to beam.

Two more games in the series, we lose each by one run.

Baseball is back, but I'm hot having much fun.

I was hoping to wrap up this poem after winning the series with the Brewers.

But by losing two of trhee games, that plan went down the sewers.

I need to end my story on a winning note.

I don't want to be negative, like the non-Aflac goat.

Monday against the Pirates, the first inning ends Rockies 5 -Pirates 1.

Looks like the purple shirts are getting it done.

We went into the 6th inning, leading only 9-8.

All things considered, things are not great.

Now the 6th is over, we lead 10-8.

I hope we hold on and don't give it up late.

We managed to win Mondays game, as well as the next two.

So, I'll end this poem soon so I don't bore you.

I hoping to win a sute at Coors Field for my family and friends.

When it comes to Rockies Baseball, my excitement never ends.
