A Champion for the City of Thornton
Contributed by: Linda Wisniewski on 10/18/2007

I would like to talk to you about my husband of 30 years, Marty Wisniewski. To say that he is a family man is an understatement. Marty's devotion to his family is apparent by the thousands of hours he has volunteered in the community to make not only his kids but hundreds of other kids' lives better. He scarified better paying jobs and promotions so he can be the scout leader, the coach, and the mentor. He made sure there were parks and fields for kids to play on. He made sure that kids had a safe environment to gather and grow in.

This is the kind of man that has been working for you as a City Council Person and Mayor Pro Tem for the last eight years. This is the kind of man that is running for Mayor of Thornton now. He is truly a champion for the City. He wants what is best for the city. He wants the City to be the best it can be. He wants all of its citizens to prosper and live safely and happily. The one thing he won't do for the city is give up his integrity. He doesn't make promises to people or paint an utopian scenario so he can get elected. He doesn't resort to intimidation and threats to get elected. He tells you exactly what is happening in the city and why it is happening. He is realistic.

Marty knows how to build alliances with other cities, the county, the state and the Federal government. That is proven by the number of endorsements he has received from all different levels of government. Marty is a team player that can work and negotiate with any entity to get the job done. Marty looks at the whole picture of what is best for the city and acts upon what the citizens need and what he knows in his heart is right.

I know for a fact you will never find a harder working, dedicated champion for the City of Thornton. I know this because he loves Thornton like he loves his family and as his wife, I know how hard Marty has worked and how dedicated he is to his family. When you mark your ballot mark it for your champion, mark it for Marty Wisniewski.
