The Driving Gasaholic Public
Contributed by: S.L. Carlsen on 6/14/2008

Gas prices aren't getting lower anytime soon, so we hear. In fact, by the end of the year we can expect around $6.00 a gallon or more. Everyone complains about it, but what are they doing about it? Absolutely nothing. This country is full of gasoholics, who don't know how to stop driving.

Don't complain about how much gas cost you when your driving your kids to school everyday. The school offers free public transportation, use it! Don't drive to the bus stop when it's only two blocks away from your house and you have a gas guzzling SUV. Walk to the bus stop! If you live within blocks of the bank, walk to it, no need to drive. Why has our society become this lazy? Why doesn't everyone seem to be affected by the outrageous gas prices?

It's tiring hearing people joke about how they can't afford gas, yet they run out shopping three times a day. We have to stop this maddness. It's time everyone pull together and cut back on their fuel spending so that there can be an end in sight. They are trying to break our economy and they will succeed if we don't slow down or stop this driving. Car pool, walk, ride a bike, it's healthier and won't break the pocketbook!

But Walmart is too far to walk to. I agree with you but do not want to give up my car.
