Continue the Success With 1A
Contributed by: Barry Gore on 10/11/2006

The county's half-cent sales tax has been a huge success and we need to keep that success going! Twelve years ago, Adams County residents approved the tax to build a new jail. Then they voted to extend the tax to build the justice center. Then the tax was extended again for road and transportation projects. Now Adams County is one of the fastest growing in the West (and it's projected to continue for another 20 years). Our jail is getting full and needs to be bigger. The state gave us another judge and a staff, but there's no courtroom or office space in the Justice Center for them. The County's Administration building is 30 years old and too small. We've maintained, improved and built some critically needed roads, but there are more transportation projects that still need to be done. Keep a good thing going - Vote Yes on 1A!
