Marty's is not self-employed or in a position to benefit by decisions made by the council. I have known Marty since 1990 and know him as a parent raising a family that attended Thornton public schools, as a Boy Scout leader, and as a youth sports coach. He has always made decisions that were fair and honest.

We have discussed community issues many times before he was on city council and he clearly had a significant interest in the direction of city issues. During these conversations he always points out his perceived benefits and disadvantages of the issue at hand. Marty has always spoken to me in a straight forward and down to earth manner, always staying away from slick or ambiguous responses that would allow him to switch sides without being held accountable.

Marty knows that Thornton is a working class city that struggles with the issues of growth, revitalization, crime, taxes, a balanced budget, and the need for attracting employers. He does not promise pie in the sky or monumental cities on the hill, but I believe he will do his best to give fair consideration and responsible common sense choices. I will vote Marty Wisniewski for Mayor and I urge all voters to look at his ideas for Thornton.
