Overheard on a cellphone - Wolves in our society

While out and about in the Thornton community last night, my wife overheard an unpleasant conversation (well, one-half of it anyway). A man in his late twenties was talking to a young woman in her teens or early twenties. It appeared that he was trying to get her to commit to a meeting, and later my wife overheard him trying to get the young female to gather a bunch of her friends to meet up with a bunch of his friends. Evidently it didn't sound like he wanted to meet up for a game of checkers.
When I asked my wife about it, she described the guy as a "user," someone who uses their persuasive powers and peer-pressure tactics to worm their way into someone's life (etc) through false-desires and false-friendships.
It brought to mind a retired Army General's email that told of how he saw society. He presents an analogy where society has sheep and wolves, and the strong need for hunters to maintain order in the society.
As a father and grandfather, I have daughters and granddaughters that I want protected. I definitely don't want them "used" by someone in our society. To meet an honorable ram with good values and high morals would be my desire. Unfortunately there are wolves out there that prey on our innocent ones. They will use their abilities and personality to get whatever they are after.
The Army General's analogy talked about hunters being the ones that keep the peace within the society. It's easy to understand the analogy when referring to law-abiding citizens and terrorists, with hunters being the military. In our local communities, we have innocent citizens and we have users, with the police force being the hunters. Unfortunately it's hard to identify the users who prey on others, and I wouldn't even say that what the users are doing is illegal. I can only state that it falls close to being unethical and unmoral. So, all the hunter can do is blow the whistle in hopes that a few sheep will heed the warning and watch out for the wolves in our community.
