Coach Steve Lewis puts the Highlander Possibles and Highlander Probables through their paces in a 3 1/2 hour High Intensity Clinic. "Coach" put the boys through all the drills he learned at National Coaching clinic earlier this February in San Diego, CA. Thornton Multi-Purpose Fields proved an excellent paddock with lovely turf, adequate parking and facilities. The 11:00 - 2:30 on Saturday, February 24, 2007 run allowed the boys to stretch their legs and work with focus and intensity after being cooped up in the gym all winter.
We developed a ritual of WARM-UP STRETCHES to follow both on and off the pitch. Practice a combination of abdominal and lower back exercises to improve balance and posture, which is important in the scrum down, lineout, and counter attack.
