Local World Female Boxing Champion
Terri "LiL Loca" Cruz
was honored for the second consective year by the Colorado Sportswomen for her outstanding achievementin boxing for2006, with her title defense in Korea and closing the year 3-0. Terri was joined by her niece Thornton High student
Brittnay Cruz,
whom recently won the USA Boxing Regionals and will be competeing in USA Women's Boxing Nationals later this month.
Also, receving a Colorado Sportwomen of the year award for the second year for Basketball was former Ranum High student and now currently Regis University student and RMAC Player of the Year
Diana Lopez
, whom was also joined by her sister
Denise
also a star basketball player for Regis University. Now that's what you call double trouble for future opponents.
Congratulations to these
"Outstanding Athletes"
and thanks to the Colorado Sportswomen for recognizing these women.
