Why do I deserve to win an Avalanche suite? It's rather simple, my family and I are the biggest Colorado Avalanche fans you will ever meet! I have been a fan of the stupendous Avalanche since I was an 8 year old little girl, back in 1996 when the all mighty Avalanche brought home the Stanley Cup. My very first game, was when i was 13 years old. It was the very first playoff game against the Vancouver Canucks back in 2001. I remember every aspect of that game, from how i did my hair, to what Quiznos sandwich I ate during intermission. What made that game so exciting? Was it that fact that my father had to pay an arm and a leg to get the tickets from a scalper? Or was it the fact that sadly, our seats were not together, and my poor mother would sit on the end of the row, calling to my father down several seats, "HONEY! HOW ARE YOU DOING DOWN THERE? IS THE SEAT ALL RIGHT? HOW'S THE GAME FROM YOUR VIEW?." I think what struck me the most was the fact, that the fans in our row, were so committed to the Avs, and everyone having a wonderful time, they became aware of our situation and the WHOLE entire row moved down so that my father and the rest of my family could sit together. Like the Avalanche players, the fans in our row worked as a team. That year was amazing, and we sat by the television to watch every game of our Colorado Avalanche become 2001 Stanley Cup Champions. Even our car was decked out on the night of game 7 against the New Jersey Devils. We drove around downtown Denver, with flags, pom poms, and Avalanche magnets on our car to show the pride and support we have for the Avalanche. Now being 17, my family and I have stood by the Avalanche's side through thick and thin. Win and loss, and great moment after great moment of the best game on earth, and we will continue to do so year after year.

What a touching story. I think it's fantastic that an AV's game brought not only a family together but a community together. Sounds like a real AV's family and they totally deserve the suit seats!!!!
