COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- August 15, 2006 -- The 2004 NCAA Division II women's soccer national champions and a playoff contender last season, Metropolitan State College of Denver has been selected to win the 2006 RMAC regular season. The Roadrunners received three more votes than cross town rival Regis University. The RMAC preseason poll and all-conference team is voted on by each of the nine head women's soccer coaches.

A first team All-American and the 2005 RMAC Player of the Year, Kylee Hanavan (Metro State) is voted as the 2006 RMAC Women's Soccer Preseason Player of the Year.
