Green Mountain vaults to top in 5A gymnastics

THORNTON -- Green Mountain captured the Class 5A state gymnastics championship on Nov. 3 at Thornton High School.

The Rams racked up 183.225 points, followed by Bear Creek and Arvada West.

Green Mountain's Kelly Stone took first in the vault in the individual meet on Nov. 4.

In 4A, Pueblo Central was the top placer, with Evergreen coming in third and Mountain Range fourth.

Mountain Range's Anna Simmons captured the all-around 4A title on Nov. 3 before taking three of four individual events on Nov. 4.
