Travel health tips

Prolonged sitting can result in aches and stiffness whether you are driving to the mountains or crossing the country. A little planning in any travel situation will help to alleviate aches and pains. Us a back support in your car to minimize back strain. While driving, alternate hand positions on the steering wheel to reduce arm strain. Take frequent breaks, stopping the car every hour or two and stretch and walkbriskly to loosen up leg muscles.

When traveling aboard a plane, use a pillow in the small of your back and keep your legs uncrossed. Vary your position occasionally to improve circulation and get upevery hourtostretch and walk, if possible.

If you experience sharp and shooting pains during your travels, consult alocal chiropractor. Doctors of chiropractic are trained and licensed to detect and correct vertebral subluxations of the spinal column.

it is customary to enjoy a SIESTA, or a NAP, after lunch. The siesta restores and rejuvenates one’s energy and enhances productivity for the rest of the day.
