Bio: Even though I'm a Colorado native, I lived in Minnesota during my teenage years. The Land of 10,000 Lakes is a place of sweltering summers swarmed by monstrous mosquitoes and winters, which freeze your will to live. Its lakes are tangled with seaweed. Its forests are overgrown with poison ivy and oak. Unsuspecting outdoor enthusiasts can and will clothesline or impale themselves on tree limbs. But you won't find comfort in the Twin Cities either.
